Following the success at the Fielding Eatery of both the recent Alpine Dinner and Horn of Plenty, chef Roberto Freddi is taking us further South on his culinary journey through Italy.
Ab Urbe Condita, the founding of Rome on 21 April 753 BC, is chef Freddi’s inspiration for today’s menu at the Fielding Eatery. Suckled by the wolf, Romulus and Remus epitomize the culture of nourishment in Roman heritage.
Based on seasonal ingredients, Roman cuisine is prepared simply, in abundance, and celebrates the Sunday tradition of bringing together friends and family. All echoed in today’s menu, Freddi’s plates are a gastronomical and social treat, served trattoria style, made for sharing and indulging!
