Malaysian food extraordinaire and Young Chef of the Year, Norman Musa, is excited to be hosting this one-off celebration of Eid (Raya) supper club following a month of fasting.
Although slightly belated, in Malaysia there is a tradition of 'open house' celebrations for weeks following the official time of Eid. So, you can expect an amazing array of traditional celebration food with a wonderful Malaysian open house-style atmosphere.
Featuring the best-known Malaysian celebration dish, Beef Rendang with Lemang (that's traditional dry, coconut beef curry with glutinous rice baked in banana leaf), together with national dish Nasi Lemak (coconut rice and condiments) with a spicy Sambal Udang (prawns in a chilli gravy) feature as the headline dishes.
Commencing with Nasi Himpit (rice cakes), Chicken Satay and peanut sauce, and concluding with traditional home-baked cookies, kuih (cakes) and Sago Gula Melaka (sago and palm sugar pudding), this menu is one of his most awesome yet - we are drooling just writing it!
All lovers of Malaysian food, you really must come! Book soon as this is the only night for what is expected to be popular!
As always, Ning London Supper Club is Halal. You can bring your alcohol though if you wish.
Dietary requests - including vegetarian - cannot always be fulfilled, so please enquire BEFORE booking.
A car transfer service is available from the nearest station Hackney Wick, by our host Andy who is always giving our guests the best attention and service throughout your evening.
