In 2012, I set up the central London supper club, Scratch Secret Suppers, because I wanted to feed Londoners fabulous food I’d made from scratch. Nothing tastes as good as food made from scratch.
My current obsession is helping visitors to London, long-term Londoners or short stay-over tourists, scratch beneath the surface of the city’s exciting foodie scene. It’s an amazingly exhilarating place, both culturally and gastronomically, and it’s so much more than the cliche of pub meals and a pint. I run food tours several times a week where I take small groups around two of my favorite London neighbourhoods – Soho and Marylebone. We eat our way through a progressive ten course tasting menu and I provide context and commentary on London’s contemporary eating scene. It's fun!

This tour is fantastic. Michelle is extremely knowledgable and took us to some really unique/fantastic places. We really enjoyed the fact that she took us to places that we would never have been to on our own. Also, combined with some history on this fascinating area of London. Would definitely recommend to anyone with an interest in London/food. Will be taking out friends and family to all of the places on the tour. Thanks Michelle :).
Everyone must do it !
A tasty way to rediscover Soho!
I've lived in London for many years and think I know Soho reasonably well. A friend bought me this food walking tour for a gift, so I went along not sure of what to expect.
I was surprised to be so impressed. Michelle is a chef, which makes her a very knowledgeable guide, and she certainly took us to several foodie spots I really wasn't aware of. This surprised me (and my friend) no end! It's a great walking tour with bits of history, information about current food trends and some lovely stories. But mostly it was eating at excellently chosen food places and learning that I really should peek down laneways and look beyond my well trodden path from time to time to discover some great treasures.
The food was all, without exception, very good, and I was full by the time Michelle sent us off with some extra take-home treats.
