In 2013, after 8 years of consulting roles across the world, I decided to move to France and move from the dining rooms of restaurants into the steamy rooms where the real magic in restaurants happens – the kitchen. Apart from working at one of Paris’ best crêpe stalls, I also learnt through short courses at Le Cordon Bleu, La Cuisine Paris in Paris and, more recently, in the kitchens of Michelin-star restaurants in the UK.
My life’s aim is to spread joy by creating and sharing great cuisine. I want to be able to delight and inspire people who love to eat– delight them with the extraordinary beauty, flavor and taste of the food, and inspire them to go home and derive joy from trying new things in their own kitchens. I have always believed that good cuisine is the foundation of happiness and I spend a lot of time cooking food I love for people I love.
My philosophy of cuisine is evolving, and is strongly influenced by my roots in India and my travels around the world (often in pursuit of good food!) I believe that great food requires passion, a respect for the ingredients, and a desire for excellence. Cuisine Angélique has all these “ingredients” and is here to spread the joy of good food and good cooking!
