Average people drink average beers. Who wants average? Life's too short.
Indie Ales is about helping people drink the best beer available to them. This means a huge range of ludicrously tasty beers, crafted by independent breweries with the kind of love, care and attention usually reserved for a small puppy at Christmas. We believe that more people would drink these beers, if only they knew just how amazingly tasty they were. So we care deeply about helping people to discover superior ales, supporting the little guys who dare to be different and sharing our passion for great beer with the world.
Enthusiasm is infectious and beer is delicious.... that's a pretty good combination in our eyes. Our events are a direct reflection of our mission. Simply put, Indie Ales's tutored beer tasting experiences champion independent, hand crafted and incredibly scrumptious beer. We won't stick to yawn inducing pre-scripted notes, so you can forget about the PowerPoint slides. You may even learn a thing or two to show off to your mates next time it’s your round. And did we mention there was beer involved? You get a load of that too.

STout Patrick's Day

This was my first night at an Indie Ales event, and I really loved it. Charlie talked us through a collection of different stouts, all chosen to provide an innovative and imaginative way of doing St Patrick's Day, and talked to us abut them before tasting.
We were introduced to some great beers - for example I hadn't tried any Beavertown beers before - and the group got on like a house after a few drinks.
Overall a very fun, and very professionally run event. A great way to learn about beer, meet some nice people, and spend a fun night.
Beer & Cheese Tasting
Rating: 10
As a girl more at home with a large glass of vino than any type of ale I attended this event thinking I'd probably only eat the cheese and spit the beer.
How wrong I was! And indeed, in the beer tasting world one doesn’t spit. Charlie, effervescent founder of Indie Ales, did a sterling job at finding an array of beers which brought my taste buds alive. Who knew that stout and mature Comte was such a winning combination!
The event brought together an eclectic group of people, some beer aficionados while others like myself curious to try out something that little bit different.
Both Fabien & Charlie's passion and energy for their produce really brought the evening to life. It was clear they had put a lot of thought into the different beer/cheese combinations and as such we were treated to a wide variety of tastes.
I hope this is the first of many collaborations for the paring and I would highly recommend to beer and non-beer drinkers alike!
