After a long hiatus, we are finally back to bring you another round of delightful feast at the Peranakan Palace. And this time, we are celebrating Chinese New Year! So please don your brightest red outfits, bring along a couple of mandarin oranges to exchange with your fellow guests and come celebrate with us.
Here are just some of the dishes that will be on the menu:
Achar (Nyonya veggie pickles with fragrant spice paste)
Kueh Pie Tee (Crispy 'Top Hats' pastry filled with vegetables)
Nasi Ulam (Nyonya Aromatic Herbed Rice)
My signature 16 hrs Slow Braised Ox Cheek Rendang (Slow cooked ox cheek in spice paste and coconut milk)
Babi Pongteh (Nyonya braised Pork belly with fermented bean paste)
Itek Sio (Nyonya braised duck with tamarind and coriander)
Chai Buey (Nyonya Tangy mustard greens stew)
.....plus a few Nyonya kuihs/puddings to round things off
This is a BYOB event so feel free to bring along any drinks that tickle your fancy.
Expect loads of food and do come hungry...you have been warned.
