At Papi’s Pickles we celebrate the rich history of South Indian food. We cook delicious homemade dishes and fresh pickles using seasonal, local, organic and Fairtrade ingredients for street food markets, events and pop ups. Our authentic recipes have been passed down through generations, and before they reach you we give them a little modern twist.

As a social enterprise, our aims are to work with unemployed South Indian and Sri Lankan women and to help build a fairer food system for all.

Great food!

Rating: 8

The food here was excellent. We had a lovely time. The only reason I'm not giving it top marks is because I feel paying almost £10 was a bit steep. Otherwise it was delicious and filling! Thanks

Hello,

We have only just seen this review and we are very sorry to hear that you found £10 too steep. Please feel free to come along to one of the remaining 3 Sundays at Brixton Cornercopia for a complimentary breakfast or brunch.

Best wishes.

Disappointment :(

We really wanted to love this brunch - travelled from North London (with no Norther Line, so it was a bit of a trek) and hungry. The idea sounded so fun on paper and we really like supporting and experiencing small restaurant outfits. And we're vegetarian, so places specialising in veg brunches are far and few in between.

So it was such a shame to get the dish which was small and food-wise, very quite unsubstantial. We were hungry, and left hungry. The tine pots of salad, chick peas, sauce and yogurt were TINY!! For the £9.50, I personally expect to eat enough to not to leave hungry!! My husband ordered a lassi -- and I have never found a lassi small, it must have been barely 0.5dl!

The tastes of the dishes were lovely - it's such a shame the dishes come so small you basically feel ripped off.

Disappointed, we trekked back to North London. :(
