My name is Maitri, I am an ayurvedic vegan chef and my passion is to combine healthy, organic, gluten and sugar free food.
I have changed the way I see nutrition since 2006 when my journey with yoga, meditation and conscious life style began.
I follow an ayurvedic diet and lifestyle, which means being in tune with my body and elements selecting the food that I enjoy most and help my system to function at its best.
Ayurveda is a comprehensive system of health care that originated in India several thousand years ago, it is also called ’the Science of Life’, is as much concerned with enhancing the quality of life and the prevention of ill-health as it is with the treatment of disease.
The integration of spices, activated nuts and seeds, gluten free grains and total absence of sugar brought me in this direction where with creativity I modify and make up my own recipes, enriching the flavour with simplicity and colourful ingredients; as a yogi I play with these two different yet very similar diets, blending the ayurvedic - mainly cooked - and yogic - raw food – together, with no compromise on the taste.
My intention is to share my personal experience with people who may think healthy food means to renouncing happiness and intriguing recipes.
