Create your own flavoured beer!
A hands on, practical demonstration tutored by Mitch Adams & Dan Price from London Brewing Company.
You may think that all of the wonderful flavours in beer come from four ingredients, water, malt, hops & yeast. However, at London Brewing Co they are not afraid to let their brewers experiment away from their core range and in the past twelve months have flavoured beers post fermentation with all sorts including more hops, fruit, rosemary, chilli, coffee and chorizo.
Join us from 7pm for welcome drinks and a short seminar where the LBC beer geniuses will take you through the science behind various methods including dry hopping & barrel ageing while the mad professor of liquid bread, Dan Price, will take you through the practicalities of adding fruit or herbs & their patented ‘dry baconing’ technique.
Once they’ve shared their top tips, we’ll be tasting a few more flavoured beers. Then it’s down to you to make your own beers at the table. Mix and blend LBC American wheat beer Particular with your choice of fruit. After that the real playtime begins, we’ll have two beers on tap for you to pour, there’ll be caffetieres at the ready and a host of goodies to flavour your beer with from wood chips, hops and cocoa nibs to fruit, smoke and chocolate.
There will be prizes for the best results from the day!
