At August Indian Supper Club we enjoy cooking as much as we enjoy being the perfect hosts. Through this combination, we have found the perfect formula for hosting enjoyable and flavour filled dinner parties!

 

With a menu that has curries, kebabs, wholesome vegetables and other interesting accompaniments there is something for every palette to enjoy! With witty conversations, nostalgic family stories that resonate with everybody, we know you’ll just love being at this Supper Club!

MENU

REFRESHING DRINK

Nimbu Paani

Fresh lime sweetened drink; a must in this warm weather

 

STARTERS

Machli Goli

A favourite fish preparation, subtly flavoured with garlic, lemon, potatoes and coriander

 

Papri Chaat

Crisp fried wafers topped with potatoes and spiced yogurt. The definition of street food!

 

Matar chhonk

Fresh green peas freshly sauteed with sliced onions and cumin!

 

MAINS

Lamb Roast

There is nothing we can say about this dish that will do it any justice … you just have to taste it!

 

Nariyal Chicken

Chicken in a simple coconut curry

 

Chana Daal

A great bihari lentil preparation that is rich as it is wholesome

 

Aloo Sarsoon

A great accompaniment at any dinner, uses mustard to give it a distinctive taste

 

Afghani Baingan

A special aubergine dish … one of Meghna’s specialities!

 

SIDES

Moong, Pyaz and Tamatar Salad

Sprouted moong beans, onions and tomatoes, lightly flavoured with August Supper Club original dressing

 

Kheera and momfali Raita

Yogurt served with fine chopped cucumber, and garnished with peanuts … a special from our mum

 

Moti Roti

Thick and crisp rotis flavoured with cumin and ghee. Menaka’s and Meghna’s nani’s (grand-ma’s) recipe

 

Bhaat

And of course there is rice as well … steamed rice with just a drop of ghee!

Bihari hari chautney

Coriander chutney, made the Bihari way!

 

Bihari tamatar chutney

A must have at all Bihari meals – a tomato based sweet and sour chutney!

 

DESSERT

Makhana ka Kheer

Fox nut pudding – an auspicious ingredient used to make dessert for special occasions.
