We are grateful for your support at our first two supper clubs. This one is especially for those who have not been able to join us so far! With a menu that has curries, kebabs, wholesome vegetables and other interesting accompaniments there is something for every palate to enjoy!  This time our menu includes a generations old lamb kebab recipe which so far has only been shared with close family and friends ... and now you!

 

REFRESHING DRINK

Nimbu Paani

Fresh lime sweetened drink.

 

STARTERS

  • Patna Kabab

Menaka’s and Meghna’s grandmother’s speciality lamb kebabs … shared only with family, until now!

  • Papri Chaat

Crisp fried dough wafers with flavourful potato and yogurt topping. The definition of street food!

  •  Lal Chana chhonk

Red lentil, sautéed with onions and cumin to create a tasty and fresh snack.

 

MAINS

  • Sarson Machli

Fish in a rich tomato curry, infused with mustard.

  • Gol Mirch Chicken

Succulent pieces of chicken teamed with black pepper and coriander to create a wonderfully spiced dish.

  • Karhi

Refreshing yogurt and chickpea curry, with subtly favoured dumplings.

  • Aloo Zeera

A great potato accompaniment at any dinner, uses cumin to give it flavour.

  • Bharwan Baingan

Aubergine stuffed with a tangy tamarind masala that comes together to create a fingerlicking dish.

 

SIDES

  • Moong, Pyaz and Kheera Salad

Sprouted moong beans, cucumber and onions, flavoured with August Supper Club original salad dressing.

  • Saag Raita

Yogurt served with spinach, and mildly flavoured.

  • Methi Parathas

Soft breads flavoured with light spices and fenugreek.

  • Bhaat

And of course there is rice as well … steamed rice with just a drop of ghee!

 

ACCOMPANIMENTS

  • Bihari hari chutney

Coriander chutney, made the Bihari way!

  • Bihari tamatar chutney

A must have at all Bihari meals – a tomato based sweet and sour chutney!

 

DESSERT

  • Makhana ka Kheer

Fox nut pudding – an auspicious ingredient used to make dessert for special occasions.

 

At August Indian Supper Club we enjoy cooking as much as we enjoy being the perfect hosts. Through this combination, we have found the perfect formula for hosting enjoyable and flavour filled dinner parties! With witty conversations, nostalgic family stories that resonate with everybody, we know you’ll just love being at this Supper Club!
