ZIMA Russian Street Food and Bar

Located in a Grade II listed Soho townhouse, right next door to the legendary Ronnie Scott’s, ZIMA is a new culinary, social and cultural hub that combines the finest Russian street food, gourmet creations and homemade vodka infusions with a fascinating programme of cultural events.

The driving force behind ZIMA is Alexei Zimin, Russia’s most celebrated chef, author, TV presenter and restaurateur. Alexei has created an array of tapas-style dishes featuring classic ingredients from all corners of his vast homeland - sturgeon, herring, scallops, crab, venison and the best priced caviar in the capital.

ZIMA’s interiors are as funky as its culinary offering. In the basement the mood is Russian dacha and Soviet-era ryumochnaya (vodka bar) with its slogan- and symbol-embossed propaganda porcelain.

The ground floor restaurant is a relaxed and colourful space, whilst the handsome first floor restaurant is a slightly more formal, but no less enjoyable, setting in which to enjoy Alexei’s dishes.

ZIMA’s hidden gem is a delightfully secluded and spacious rooftop terrace.

Bringing Russian street food out of the cold, ZIMA (the Russian word for winter and Alexei’s nickname) is London’s coolest new offering.

ZIMA is a joint collaboration between Alexei Zimin and Table Talk (www.tabletalk.ru), one of Russia’s most successful hospitality groups.
