Christmas is here and we are back with a Christmas inspired menu for one special night of traditional Nepalese festival food & professionally paired cocktails. In true Rajiv's Kitchen style, this night will be a joyous & gastronomic occasion. So put on your party shoes & help us celebrate this Christmas, Nepalese style! 

We will have the mixologist guru, David Hamilton from Organic Spirit on board,  providing you with a cocktail making masterclass to get you in the festive mood. So come and shake your own cocktails and feast on our 4 course Christmas feast ( No turkey or brussel sprouts to be seen!!!!)

So lets eat, drink and get merry! 

MENU:

Complimentary Welcome Drink: Spiced Pomegranate Belini

PRE-STARTER:

"Pigs in a pond"
*Pork/Chicken/Veg momos (dumplings) served in a rich chicken broth

1st COCKTAIL:

Kaffir Lime Pineapple Martini: 

Kaffir Leaf infused Gin shaken with sweet Pinapple and a hint of Lime Juice

STARTER:

Hariyo Bheda: Lamb & Chestnut Nepalese meatballs, served with smoky eggplant puree, hemp seeds chutney with peas, zucchini & mint salad.

2nd COCKTAIL:

Pomegranate and Vanilla Collins:

Pomegranate juice, Vanilla syrup and Vodka mixed and topped with soda.

MAIN:

Kathmandu CurryBraised Mutton curry, cooked with cashew nuts & cashew paste. 

Kukhura Ko Achaar: Tangy & spicy Chicken pickle cooked with fennel & coriander seeds and mango powder. 

Euta Kauli: Spicy whole roasted cauliflower, marinated in cumin, garlic & lime zest

Paneer Ko Tarkaari: Paneer & Capsicum chilli. 

Jogi Tarkaari: Mixed vegetable curry

Aalo Ko Achaar: Potatoes, cucumber and carrot pickle, tempered with hemp seeds.

****Main is served with fragrant rice/paratha bread.

3rd COCKTAIL:

Mandarin Ciaparoska: Fresh Mandarines muddled with Vodka, Lime and Sugar

DESSERT:

Cardamom infused vanilla ice cream, served with mixed berries, pomegranate & topped with sesame dust & sugar shard.

Note:We use fresh local produce/ingredients bought on the same day for our cooking.

If you are vegetarian or have any food allergies, please inform us in advance so we can improvise our menu to suit your needs.

 

Venue: Hackney E5( 2 mins from Clapton station, 5-7 mins walk from Hackney Downs and 15 mins walk from Hackney Central)

Buses: 38, 48, 55, 56, 106, 254, 393, 425 & 488.

(The venue is situated above the best-loved corner shop in Lower Clapton: Palm 2; offering a cozy & relaxed atmosphere.)

This is a BYOB event ( If all those amazing cocktails are not enough).
