hosted by Oliveology
Join us for another wonderful wine tasting workshop!
Taking place at the oliveology shop at Borough Market, Marianna teams up with wine connoisseur Maria Moutsou, for a two-hour wine tasting workshop!
During the workshop you will get to taste the most important varieties of Greece. Let us introduce you to Assyrtiko, a star white grape and the 70% of the Santorinian vineyard. Savour the Savatiano variety, the most cultivated white grape of Greece, so versatile & vastly undiscovered. Indulge with Agiorgitiko, the most cultivated red grape of Greece and finish off with a Xinomavro, the celebrated star red grape of Greece.
This workshop is ideal for those of us who want to learn about wine, focusing on the varieties that grow all around Greece. We will leave with a good understanding of the key Greek varieties and the uniqueness of the terroir of the various regions of the country.
During the workshop we will get to taste a wide range of wines from these celebrated Greek grapes, accompanied with delicious food pairings (yes, there will be Greek cheese!). Journey through Greece over multiple glasses of wine and join us for another Greek hospitality feast! Can you think of a better way to spend your Thursday evening? We can’t!
