Do you love sweet, syrupy, buttery baklava but only get to savour it while on holiday? Have no idea where to find this delicious dessert and would like to discover how to make it yourself? Then this workshop is perfect for you!

We’re very excited to be teaming up with Lucy Panou from Greedy Greco to bring you the ultimate baklava baking workshop with the signature flavours of dark chocolate & pistachio. A true hands on hands-on experience, combining traditional techniques with modern twists.

This specialist masterclass is a hands-on experience where you will learn how to make baklava the traditional Greek way, but with a contemporary twist.

What to expect:

We’re kicking off our morning by heading straight into the kitchen: bubbling wild honey syrup with spices, layering filo pastry with Aegina pistachios and hand decorating each mouthful with 75% dark chocolate ganache.

Whilst our baklava bakes, we will take a short coffee break and baklava tasting (already prepared for you to try) and have a discussion about where baklava is really from- and why do Anatolian desserts hold such a prominent position in Greek cuisine?

By the end of the workshop, you will have your very own tray of baklava to take home (we will pack it in special boxes for you) plus recipe cards and much more.

Baklava Masterclass Workshop by Oliveology & Lucy Panou from Greedy Greco

Lucy, born to a Greek father and British mother, grew up eating traditional sweets and desserts on her home island of Spetses. Experiencing food from two very different cultures, Lucy came to the realisation that the Greeks rarely eat alone, especially not sweets. In fact, dessert-eating often escalates into an elaborate affair involving family, friends, neighbours and friends of neighbours. Lucy launched Greedy Greco in early 2019 on a mission to bring a slice of that vibe to London. To bring people together. To give them a reason to be present with others and to reconnect with themselves. Combining traditional techniques with only the best of ingredients, Lucy’s sweet treats are inspired by her roots and the Greek classics she grew up with but with delicious, modern twists. Lucy spends most of her time in South West London supplying sweet treats across various locations and catering for events with Greedy Greco.

As our workshops are hosted at a shared kitchen space, we cannot guarantee an allergy-free environment.

Cancellation policy:

A minimum of 4 weeks notice is required for cancellation so we can fill your space. You will be given a full refund or we can transfer you to another date. However, no refunds or changes can be made if cancellations are changed in less than four weeks. However, you have the option to give your ticket to a friend or family member.
