We never really had the chance to have a proper Xmas party at the Backdoor Kitchen but this year we've decided to kick off the best of our weapons and throw a massively festive party with a loads of special ingredients and some good booze.
Check out this menu, lick your fingers and once again see where Italy meets Britain over the most wonderful time of the year: you will still find out that place is our coolest little flat in Bermondsey.
Glass of Champagne at arrival (because why not?)
served with a delicate turkey and white pepper mousse, crostini, brussel sprout gently cooked in butter and pomegranate (so to get rid of all the odd Xmasy bits)
Now for the hardcore stuff...
Seafood dream grotto - Squid Ink scallop ravioli served with clam, mussel, prawn, langoustine and squid with a luscious langoustine and ginger bisque
Santa claws - Lobster fillet and claw gently cooked in escargot butter served with Parma ham crisps and Porcini mushrooms (no escargot are implied in this dish in case you are disturbed by the sight of snails or an escargot punk raver)
Rabbit blanket - Rabbit saddle wrapped in Pancetta served with chestnut, pomme puree, honey mustard coleslaw and a Marsala, thyme, rosemary and rabbit jus. You will be allowed to lick your fingers.
Secret dessert treasure follies served with glass of Port wine
(due to the bio-hazard nature of this menu we will not be able to serve vegetarians and vegans. Sorry guys, we will make it up to you in 2016! It's a New Year's resolution.)
