Padmaja is a qualified civil engineer and an award winning chef. She an infectious enthusiasm for authentic Indian cuisine. In 2008, she was a winner on the BBC2 programme, Step Up to the Plate, which challenges the talents of upcoming chefs against Paul Rankin and John Burton Race and played host to Hairy Bikers.
Having spent her childhood eating authentic Indian food, Padmaja has a passion for simple, flavoursome dishes. Her experimental style incorporates trying new techniques and methods to provide her own twist on traditional Indian recipes.
Padmaja runs her Cookery Classes at a number of cookery schools in Essex and Suffolk. In addition, Padmaja showcases her unique Indian cooking at food fairs and festivals across East Anglia.
Padmaja’s experience makes her the ideal choice to teach the methods of creating authentic Indian cuisine. Her day courses and supper clubs are suitable for all abilities.
