RUM is the spirit of the sea!
For centuries sailors and seafarers have consumed and paid homage to RUM, that oh so glorious libation that brings the soul of the Caribbean to you in every sip. The fruits of the sea are also a huge part of the daily Caribbean diet and the consumption of both are more synonymous with the Caribbean than anything else!
So in tribute to this history and the seafood culture of the Caribbean….. the RUMblin’ team are bringing you another exciting series of events entitled
RUMblin’…. in the DEEP!!!
To kick things off we are heading to the Cornish coast and bringing you Oysters!! We are teaming up with the most exciting foody joint in London – Jenius Social and Oyster Expert Katy Davidson, all the way from Newquay, to bring you a night of tastucational excellence!
Oysters (flavoured, cooked and raw) will be expertly prepared by Katy whose recipes are inspired by eating oysters around the world, including in Trinidad!
Menu is as follows
- Raw Rock Oyster on arrival with a RUMblin’ Cocktail
- Cooked Rock Oyster - Bacchanal (spicy Trinidadian inspired)
- Cooked Rock Oyster - Aphrodisia (Chocolate/caramel)
- Raw Native Oyster
- Cooked Rock Oyster with Tamarind
- Cooked Rock Oyster with Ginger & Honey
The oysters will be paired with a range of rums from around the Caribbean differing in style and geographic origin! These will be served neat and in amazing cocktails prepared by one of RUMblin’ partner startenders!
Expect an exciting evening filled with knowledge about Oysters, Rum, Caribbean Lifestyle and a fantastic vibe!
