Did you know that the 28th February is Andalucia Day in Spain, a significant feature of the Spanish calendar of public holidays? We didn’t either until we looked for the first available excuse to have a croquette and Spanish wine evening upstairs at the pub. Our head chef, Gina Hopkins, and her team have turned our bar snacks menu into one of the highlights of a visit to the pub at any time. Among the most loved snacks are a seeming unending supply of fabulous croquettas.
Anyway.. a recent, brief conversation about croquettas got rapidly out of hand and we have decided to help the Andalucians celebrate with an unending croquette party on the 28th February. Limited to 40 people there will be:
· Jamon (of course)
· Salt cod
· Drapers morcilla
· Prawn
· Mushroom
· Manchego
· Mahon
..croquettes from 7.30 with an array of dipping sauces; aioli; mojo rojo; mojo verde and Drapers chilli sauce.
All for just £10.00 and they will keep coming. We will be serving a wide list of Spanish wines from our extensive wine list including stunning Tondonia red and Gravonia white by the glass.
