Melt the approaching Winter Blues! Stage 3 are spicing it up this Autumn with a vibrant taste of art, culture and music alongside some sizzling street food from Sri Lanka courtesy of Kothu Kothu.
Kothu Kothu (meaning chop chop) will be serving you a little taste of Sri Lanka with three courses including one of its most famous and loved street food dishes, Kothu Roti.
Found on almost every street corner in Colombo, it's famous not only for its taste but also for its unique and theatrical preparation. Traditionally cooked on a heated iron sheet, the cutting and mixing of the ingredients is done using two blunt metal blades. This quick and repeated striking of metal blades on the hot metal griddle creates a very distinct sound and is often done to the beat of music.
Kothu Kothu have been voted as top 50 street eats in London by Time Out and as one of the must-try dishes before you dies by BuzzFeed.
With a photography exhibition based on Indian and Sri Lankan street culture, subcontinental cocktails and the occasional surprise or two Indian Summer at Stage3 is the perfect place to reminisce about all that sunshine we never had.
