We are delighted to announce our partnership with the fantastic team at Majestic Wine to bring you a series of food and wine pairings. Our chefs have worked closely with the Majestic master sommeliers to create delicious dishes which have been matched to superb wines from around the world.
The evenings will start with a welcome glass of fizz as you meet your chef, your sommelier and your fellow classmates. The sommelier will introduce each of the wines before moving into the kitchen to start cooking. Our chef will teach you how to prepare each of the dishes, providing all the instructions and knowledge you'll need to make sure the food you cook is truly delicious. As with all of our classes, the experience will be entirely hands-on so you will learn plenty of cooking tips and tricks during the class!
With amazing smells filling the kitchen and fantastic food coming out of the oven, the wine will start flowing and it’ll be time to eat, drink and be merry! You’ll learn all about how the wine and food complement each other as well as picking up lots of information on how to create your own pairings at home. Relax, enjoy the meal and make the most of the superb knowledge your hosts have to offer.
The menu will be as follows:
Starter: Lyme bay mackerel, giant cous cous, wilted fennel matched with Vavasour Sauvignon Blanc
Main: Peppered venison with a beetroot, watercress and apple salad matched with Kangarilla Road Shiraz
Dessert: Poached autumn fruits, nut crumble and cream matched with Domaine de Coyeaux Muscat de Beaumes de Venise
This class is priced at £54 per person and includes welcome drinks, your cooking class, all ingredients plus the food and wine with each course.
