At Home with Dub Plates Kitchen

After several successful residencies Dub Plates Kitchen are offering a more intimate experience for foodies. Dub Plates Kitchen have been regulars at east London foodie destination Street Feast, catered Pharrell’s adidas Supercolor trainer launch and hosted pop ups at Gordon Ramsay’s Bread Street Kitchen and Kew Gardens’ Full of Spice Festival.

Supperclub At Home with Dub Plates Kitchen will be a culinary experience combining the relaxed atmosphere and a remixed Caribbean menu, the streetfood company is known for.

At Home with Dub Plates Kitchen will be held in a private home in Portobello, the home of Notting Hill Carnival, and an area steeped in Caribbean history. The supperclub will be an event celebrating food, culture and music that reflects the culinary diversity of London.

Dub Plates Kitchen’s knowledge and appreciation of Caribbean food first came from eating with family at home. Watching mum in the kitchen and learning how to cook ‘at her hand’. Some of the duo’s strongest memories are of watching the women in the family cook, then debate who made the best dishes. So where better to host its latest foodie adventure than the very environment that inspired them to share their love for food.

Come and dine at home, Dub Plates Kitchen style, as they create a remixed dining atmosphere reminiscent of growing up Caribbean in London. On the menu will be their rocksteady repertoire of dishes remixed with a London vibe like Mac and cheese waffles  topped with 48 hour-marinated chicken thighs, drizzled with a sorrel and chilli sauce, or curry goat stuffed into sweet brioche sliders with crispy plantain, slaw with mango and sriracha sauce.

Diners can savour a Caribbean speciality with baked breadfruit segments dipped into a spicy coconut sauce or delve into the Dub Plates Special: One Drops; panko-crusted, deep-fried balls of rice and peas filled with either jerk chicken, or dhal, or macaroni cheese with a callaloo middle.

Eat and enjoy the remixed drinks on offer while listening to an eclectic mix of Dub Plates Kitchen's musical inspirations.
