It's time the two food-obsessed nations and three equally obsessed chefs came together in the kitchen for a Hong Kong X Singaporean (hawk) affair. Xiao Chi - literally means 'Small Eat' - is an important category of SE Asian food, commonly found in outdoor food stalls, night markets and casual cafes. Chow on some of our favourite street food/ homestyle nibbles, guzzle bottles of beer or a fancy cocktail and come be merry with us on a (hopefully) warm summery evening.
Starters:
- 'Liang Ban' Beef Shin
Sliced beef shin and cucbmber tossed in a chilli soy sauce dressing
- Rojak
Salad with pineapple, cucumber and dough fritters, tossed in a sweet shrimp paste dressing
- Chwee Kueh
Steamed rice cakes topped with spicy salted turnip relish
- Pumpkin Cakes
Pan-fried pumpkin rice cakes with shiitake and dried shrimps
- Crunchy Stuffed Wings
Pan-fried chicken wings stuffed with carrot and wood-ear mushrooms

A stack of homemade rice flour pancakes, and the following fillings to pick-and-mix from:
- Braised turnips, carrots, and shiitake with garlic and white pepper
- Crispy five spice roast pork belly
- King prawns
- Beansprouts, lettuce and other fresh salads
- Homemade chilli garlic sauce
- Sweet sauce
