This is a hands on, informal cooking class, held every Wednesday evening, for 5 weeks. The course is held in cafe area of The Grocery - We start with introducing the ingredients, then a cooking session, and finally eating! All ingredients are included in the price.
Class 1 (29 June) : Introduction to the ingredients, Sticky Rice, Miso Soup (making dashi), Dashimaki Tamago (egg roll), Wakame & cucumber salad (with creamy sesame dressing), Onigiri (riceball) for taking away
Class 2 (6 July) : Niku Jaga (traditional Japanese stew), Goma ae (green beans with sesame sauce), Five Grains Rice, Miso Soup "Of the Day"
Class 3 (13 July): Gyoza (Japanese style dumpling), Asazuke (quick pickled vegetables), Takikomi Gohan (mixed rice) and Miso Soup "Of the Day"
Class 4 (20 July): Teriyaki Chicken (teriyaki tofu or salmon for vegetarian), Shira ae (tofu dip mix with vegetables) Edamame Rice and Miso Soup "Of the Day"
Class 5 (27 July): Party Chirashi zushi (sushi rice mixed with vegetables and fresh sashimi), Miso dip with crispy vegetables. Soba noodle dip with original tsuyu dressing
Each session lasts 2 hours
