I am a cook, food presenter (recently completed on How to be food presenter course at Leith's school of food and wine) and have my own Vegetarian and Vegan cookery school.
I have a passion for cooking and have developed this since my childhood in Kenya. My approach to food is simple, healthy, modern and imaginative. I love sharing ideas for delicious home cooking and am constantly finding fresh sources of inspiration to create new dishes. My style of cooking ranges from African, Middle Eastern, Indian and Italian.
For me, along with my family, travelling and listening to music, cooking is the thing I love most in my life. Food brings people, different cultures and communities together, hence cooking for my family and friends is my way of showing love for them.
Although I'm a busy working mum of two, I always find time to prepare home cooked meals, as I find that you can really taste the difference and there is something satisfying and therapeutic about making them.
So my classes are focused on teaching healthy dishes to suit a busy lifestyle.
