Food is an integral part of the Headway East London day. Our lively kitchen is a hub of activity where survivors of brain injury are supported and encouraged to learn or re-learn life skills and work together. Amongst other projects, we run a Lunch Club Monday to Friday, feeding everyone at our centre and a set of regular customers from local businesses.
An ever expanding project is a series of Supper Clubs, utilising the skills, enthusiasm and energy of our client group – survivors of brain injury – diners are treated to an evening of delicious, seasonal food; cooked by, served and eaten alongside Headway East London members. Taking place in our art studio and/or canal side garden we also highlight other key occupational activities such as art and the life stories project. We want attendes get a real sense for who we are, as well as having a fabulous evening.
Headway East London supports people affected by brain injury. It is a community where people with brain injury are valued, respected and are able to fulfil their potentials to lead full active lives
