hosted by Wenyu's Teahouse
Wenyu’s Teahouse is a big lover of colourful Salads - made like a painting with much variation of various vegetables. Here, Wenyu will prepare a very fresh organic vegetarian salad from “Riverford” http://www.riverford.co.uk/
The special will be Wenyu’s signature rice noodle salad – a specialty dish from my hometown, Hanzhong. I brought special cookers and chef skills from there on this occasion - a Hanzhong Liang pi Premiere in London.
Here is a description from Wiki:
Liangpi (Chinese: 凉皮; pinyin: Liángpí) is a noodle-like Chinese dish made from wheat or rice flour. It is a specialty dish originating from the Chinese province of Shaanxi, but has now spread to many other places in China, in particular the northern and central regions.
New York Times' Julia Moskin describes Liangpi as served at Xi'an Famous Foods as "a dish of cold noodles in a sauce that hits every possible flavor category (sweet, tangy, savory, herbal, nutty and dozens of others).
We will specially prepare a top quality green tea from Hanzhong, an organic tea garden party, purely nourished by nature.
