hosted by Baker & Loaf
Ready to take a walk on the wild side and get baking with your own sourdough starter, but confused by all the myths surrounding growing and maintaining a wild yeast culture?
Never fear. Baker & Loaf are here to guide you on the hugely satisfying journey that is baking with wild yeast. Learn what makes it tick, what makes it sulk, and how to incorporate sourdough into your daily routine — instead of letting a tub of yeast dictate your life.
This one-day course covers:
* Building and maintaining two different types of sourdough starter
* The benefits and properties of sourdough
* Baking a range of sourdough breads from all across Europe
* Creating a personalised sourdough baking plan to fit your schedule
Classes are held in the Baker & Loaf kitchen in West London, only 5 minutes walk from Shepherd’s Bush station and 15 minutes walk from Hammersmith. See the Location page for address and further details.
A simple home-cooked lunch will be provided during the course, to replenish all that energy spent kneading your dough. If you have any special dietary requirements, please let us know on the booking form and we’ll do our very best to cater for you.
At the end of the day, you’ll take home the breads you made, along with printed class notes and recipes.
Note: Please make sure you can make the date before you book, as all class fees are non-refundable.
