hosted by Humble Grape
You are invited to join us at Level39 for our second ‘Wine Meets Tech’ Italy evening. On the night you can network with London’s technology community, sample fabulous boutique wines, discover technology advancements in the wine industry, and watch a selection of Level39 members showcase their technology.
"Some of these wines are so good they ought to be illegal.“ Eric | Head of Level 39 | Canary Wharf
At this fun and interactive wine-tasting there will even be an app to vote for your favourite tipple!
From the highest building in Canary Wharf with views along the Thames and into the city, you’ll be able to:
* taste 7 amazing small-batch artisan wines from Italy (Sparkling, whites and reds).
* Level39 startups will be showcasing their technology.
* learn about how wine and tech interact
* network with technology startups and people who have a passion for wine.
* receive a £30 voucher to redeem at Humble Grape.
So, what’s the format? Wine, premium Italian wine and more wine! Only kidding. Here’s a rough agenda:
30 minute presentation on Technology in Wine, where we’ll talk about the exciting WineTech advances in:
vineyard management: Satellite images, drones.
winemaking: Optical sorters, chemical analysers. wine retail/consumption: NFC/QR codes for tracking, consumer interaction and cellar management.
90 minute fun and relaxed seated wine-tasting, which will culminate in an electronic vote to determine the room’s favourite wine. There will be cheese and biscuits to complement the wine throughout.
Occupying the entire 39th floor of the iconic One Canada Square building, Level39 was opened in March 2013 by Boris Johnson, Mayor of London, and has quickly become an important part of London’s booming Tech City.
Start-ups from Level39 that will be showcasing their technology on the night include: Mycheckapp, Pixie Labs, Asset mapping, and EEG technologies - head set for EEGs.
